That's a really interesting collection of breeds.

Love the different egg colors and the beautiful lawn ornaments. This adds to the current collection of BO, PBR, Wellies, Marans, Rhodebars, CLB and a few mix breeds. it is like a kaleidoscope of colors, shapes and sizes. Until a year and half ago I had no idea the variety of chickens and continue to learn.

Duck and turkey eggs set! (Didn't I say I wasn't going to do turkeys?) Oh well. I had the eggs so I might as well try hatching them... again. I talked to someone yesterday that said he just keeps his bator at 65% humidity the whole time and has great luck hatching turkeys. So I might try that.

So pretty!

I have 5 Delawares out and two SG Dorkings. The UofA blues did nothing and had no pips this morning when I got up. I just checked, a couple hours later and one hatched and I see 7 or so pips!

The first one to hatch is Black.

Well, you said Friday. Isn't it something, the very day they are expected to hatch, they start .. sometimes sooner, but you are having yours hatch right on time. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me!

B word update....she came out of the coop chased every one around, is puffed up and nonstop bucking...had a snack and a drink and

Well EMU egg B. is really CHEEPING, so he may hatch sooner then I said. So keep your eyes out for the link again.

This is the first UofA Blues to hatch. It is a Black one. These are the plastic trays I use for hatching larger numbers of eggs. You can also see the water wiggle with the Brinsea probe. I am hatching at 98.5 today.

Love the pictures. I need to take pictures of the BO that hatched this week. They are really cute. and fluffy and getting wing feathers already.
By the way, where did you get the plastic hatching trays? They are better than using egg cartons.

Yes he is : ) and about, ehh 5 miles an hour, slow for a cheetah, fast for 4 day old chick lol.

ron, nice set up for keeping track of who's who. How many eggs do you put into the carton?
