Love the pictures. I need to take pictures of the BO that hatched this week. They are really cute. and fluffy and getting wing feathers already.
By the way, where did you get the plastic hatching trays? They are better than using egg cartons.

Either from Jeffers or Cutler supply.

@kathyinmo

Kathy posted a link during a hatch a long several years ago. These are sturdy enough to move the eggs and still can be cut with scissors.

ron, nice set up for keeping track of who's who. How many eggs do you put into the carton?

angel..that older quail is cuute! Silly baby, wanted to come to the it's mama. :)

I can fit five in that size. I also have a big one from Costco that had Blue Berreys in it. It holds up to 9 or 10.

I line the bottom with the foam shelf liner. After the hatch, I use Lysol all purpose cleaner to sterilize the containers and toss the shelf liner into the washing machine. If I use the plastic hatching trays, they go into the dish washer.

Yes, I have a system I suppose. I will be hatching 100 SG Dorkings, 100 Delawares and the egg farmer wants me to hatch 1000 for him this year. I am working on Blue and green layers now and then Basque hens, Fogel HRIRs and possibly Bresse or Blue and Black Australorps. Next year I hope he wants the Pita Pintas. I need more of them to breed from.

Oh my goodness, they run pretty quick. I never thought of that. But makes sense. Are you going to keep him/her?
Yep, hopefully all three
