Tetanus likes puncture type wounds where oxygen can't reach. It usually doesn't survive in surface scrapes that can be washed out well. If a kid steps on a nail or something like that, a tetanus shot is absolutely needed...
And of course horses have their own tetanus boosters yearly. I think people only get them every 7 years unless their if a deep puncture, and then they'll get a booster....

Good luck with everything!!!

I stepped on a nail 2 summers ago. OUCH. An long old rusty nail through the bottom of my foot. I went straight to the Drs and got a Tetnus shot.

Here's what I did tonight. I have a boatload of lemons, and I saved a recipe a long time ago for Lemoncello. I've never made it, and thought, what the heck! So tonight I started the process. I tell ya, my friends are already talking about inviting me over for dinner.

Might be a silly question

But what is Lemoncello?

I spent yesterday and the day before boiling down maple sap. I have a few more gallons to boil down today. Starting tomorrow the weather is going to change and sap should start flowing daily. My fridge is going to be full of only eggs and syrup lol.

That sounds so tasty though! I think it'd be fun to make your own syrup, but I don't think we get enough cold weather for it to work here.

Pure maple syrup is sooooo yummy. This is our first year making our own syrup. The weather hasn't been great for sap flow but we have gotten enough warm days to be able to collect a bit. We have 5 bottles of maple syrup in the fridge now. DH said he is going to miss when maple season is over because the house smells so good while we are boiling it down (yes we boil it down in our house
