Yes maintain that humidity. Another thing to add is to give them a cool down time each day of about 10 to 15 minutes a day where you just open the incubator then spritz them with water and close the incubator until the next day till lockdown. That's about it. Good luck with your hatch. All of this is on the high end of the chicken though wouldn't recommend incubating water fowl and chickens and turkeys in the same incubator.

Thanks so much!! The geese are getting their own incubator. I'll hatch turkeys and chickens together since I can dry hatch those.

Hi !!! Fancy meeting you here!!

I wish the turkeys were laying . . but that's ok, we can do turkey eggs for the turkey hatcha thon. Bet they overlap. Gotta get the incubator fired up and ready.

couldn't help myself lol. Im really excited because I just made arrangements to pick up some local Appenzeller Spitzhauben eggs in the next few days. These will be my first ever white egg layers. Who would have thought someone would get excited over white eggs with all the rainbow of egg colors out there but that's a chicken addict for ya lol.

I too am still waiting on my turkey hens to start laying. Im also joined the turkey hatch athon.

Hey, I"m with you on the white, egg basket is not complete with out white-- my SSH rooster died and he was my source of whitish eggs. I'm checking out the selection at the local feed store-- had doms last year, hopefully this year too.

There is a really great Dominique breeder here in NH if you were looking for quality birds.
