At the very least they supposedly are going to grandfather in any roosters that were here before the ban came into effect. But these roosters can not be replaced once gone, so even if they are rehomed or die another cant take the place of that specific rooster. Im thinking I need to figure out exactly what I want for my perfect roosters and get them quick. Only problem is the roosters I want to keep haven't been hatched yet lol so Im not sure how Im going to work this in. Id like to end up with 2 good quality BCMs and 2 good quality CLs but that takes time to breed hatch and grow out to find those keepers. But I will do what I can and try to work faster then them.

I talked to a fellow that has done very well breeding good qualityheritage birds and shown then at big shows. He sold every one because he is not allowed to have birds at his family farm because the laws changed. Every town has it's own rules and what is accpetable in one town is not in another. WOOOOO HOOOOOO. Count me in!!! I have no idea what I'm gonna hatch but it shouldn't be hard to figure it out. Both of my bators are completely full now and got 9 fuzzy butts hatching as I'm typing this. YAY.

I am getting quite excited--When I left for work this morning 5 New heritage Delawares had hatched.

In tow hours I get to head home and see how many have hatched now.

I gave up on my Spitzhauben they just didnt like it in a pen, even with a huge enclosure, they suggest, free ranging them

. They are gorgeous and friendly birds! I hope you have much luck with them! I still love them but it was not meant to be
