African grey eggs. They ended up laying 4, but one is in the incubator with repaired cracks...
Goffins Cockatoos. These clowns don't trust me with their eggs AT ALL !
Our power went out at 4 this morning! The incubators got down to about 82 F before we got the generator going. I hope they'll be okay. They had plenty of issues to deal with in the first place....shipped eggs, cracked eggs, damaged air cells....
I put ziplock bags of hot water all around them with heavy towels on top. Probably didn't bring the temp up but may have kept them from losing more heat.
Fighting the urge to go candle the eggs and see if anything is percolating.
Some observations: 1)Poor chicks! 2) Chicks hatch on day 19? 3) Hatching only takes 4-6 hours?? 4) No wonder they're all stressed out by the time they get to us! 5) I don't think I'll buy hatchery chicks ever again. This was a re-run on HOW ITS MADE but its cool if you never watched it!
