I've never done a hatch-a-long, but I did set 14 backyard test eggs March 25 & another batch of 23 shipped eggs on April 1st. These projects are actually for my science students & our daughter's 4-H project. Since the hatch dates are close to Easter, I wouldn't mind joining & sharing my hatch rate. (Built my own incubator last month. So far so good.)

Candled the OE eggs and all 14 are alive!!!!! So amazed! This is the first time I have EVER had 100% development start on shipped eggs! Hoping they all make it all the way, but I was shocked that the 2 eggs that had detached air cells on arrival started to develope at all. Go little eggs GO! Hope Everyone else on here is having equal luck with their hatches (sorry, too many on here to quote everyone)!

Maybe I will have to candle tonight.

This is Rudolph. Last year I raised it from a batch of New Hampshires. I thought it was a rooster for the longest time but she gives me an egg all most every day even though she has spurs.

I agree with everyone on this! they are wayyyyy too cute! I have been dieing to get some! the emu farm down the road closed a while ago before I could :'( so I will start to look again but tooooooo cute! love it <3
