Hi there

I set on Monday March 31st at 8pm . So excited!!
ALL these eggs were shipped from Chickengirl1304 here on BYC.

5 F1 Olive Eggers
2 F2 Olive Eggers
2 Jubilee Orp

10 Barnevelder
4 Crested Cream Legbar
5 Easter Eggers

TOTAL 28 eggs.
Hey, are those eggs marked BB mean Blue Boys..or Black, or Blue? :D

Chicks at my daughters school started hatching Tuesday a full 2 weeks ahead of schedule 3 of the 6 were out on Friday
confused, they only take 3 weeks total to hatch???

I bet the kids are so excited! Its cool for them to do that at school!

What are your project eggs?

Bantam chocolate Cochins and I have a 100% black bantam English Orp over 5 BBS US SOP bantam Orps. I don't think my roo is very fertile or he just isn't interested in the girls. I think I have hatched 3 of his chicks this year and almost all the eggs are infertile. I have never seen him 'do his job'. The Cochins I assume is because of fluff. I have 2 chocolate bantam Orps over 8 black bantam Cochin pullets and in the second pen I have one black roo over 4 chocolate bantam Orp girls and 2 blue bantam Cochin girls. I know - I need a 2nd black bantam Cochin boy!

I had eggs pip around 9am....its 7pm now and they still aren't out.... I know it can take a while but what's typical? :-/
Yup sounds normal its absorbing

TIMELINE of a silky HATCHING!
9AM MONDAY
EARLY DAY 19, CANDLE SHOWS INTERNAL PIP

MONDAY 5 PM noticed external pip

TUESDAY DAY 20 9AM STILL RESTING,

hole slightly larger but chick is NOT zipping!

2 PM TUES. CHICK IS ALREADY OUT!

missed the last quick zipping!
Silky on the left, two CCL hatched at the same time!

ITS IMORTANT TO NOTE:

THIS CHICK TOOK WELL OVER 24 hours to hatch! and absolutely normal!

Here is the only remaining baby from my recent hatch.

An interesting fact is that it was actually the very first egg to ever go into my incubator and that I alone ever incubated.

And a spider from last night. Im not sure which egg that is but I'm going to start taking pictures of 34 and posting them daily. That pic is day 4

They can take 12 hours or more to continue. It's a lot of work for them to hatch. They rest in between.

Sounds like you may need to trim some fluffy butts.
