Here are some pictures from last night. First #34 since we are tracking it.

Next is a very porous egg that seems begins in development

And last is just another good one

Quote: The only thing i worry about is she/he is stepping on it while its trying to walk/crawl around.... thanks for your response Pozees! Ill check it again in about a half hour and see if anything has changed. :)

Woke up this morning and noticed that all the clocks were blinking. I guess we lost power last night during the storm that passed through. I'm not sure how long it was out for, and when I checked on the eggs the temp was reading as it should. If the temps dropped low enough for long enough to affect the eggs, how long before I would be able to see evidence of that? And would it look like a blood ring or something of that sort, or would it just not have any progress of development from the last time I candled? I've thankfully never had the power go out when incubating eggs before so I'm not quite sure what to look for.

On a happier note, I just found out my husband and I are expecting a little "chick" of our own! I guess this one is being "set" just in time for the Christmas 2014 Hatch-a-long!! lol Thank goodness I don't have to manually adjust/watch the temp and humidity for the next 9 months for this one!

Congratulations!

The incubator eggs are fine, you shouldn't notice a thing for that brief of an outage.

This is Rudolph. Last year I raised it from a batch of New Hampshires. I thought it was a rooster for the longest time but she gives me an egg all most every day even though she has spurs.
So funny! We have a buff orp with spurs. Big ones too!

Set them for the Cinco de Mayo Hatchathon on Monday!
Cinco de Mayo? I will have to look it up. I'm hatching all the time now :)

Oh NO!!!! DH says that we will be out of town on Easter weekend. NOOOOO!!!!!

No way! I love to fish but there are limit! Here's a hint. Outfish him. I promise he'll never take you again.

I'm not sure if I shared this here but forgive if I already did. My daughter made me this sheet to keep track of my many staggered hatches. It comes in handy as today I found out I have a total of 9 hatches going on..gah. Hope it helps. It's in Word format but I don't know a place I can upload it for all to just share it thru a link. If anyone knows please share.

That's certainly more high-tech than scribbling info on the calender page.

I'm getting to a point - with 5 hatches and a broodie, all at once, that I may have to start taking notes. The brain only holds so much!
