You guys are always so chatty!

So its Wednesday morning in the USA and 6 PM in the Phils

HAL eggs went into lockdown.

We have had big storms rroll through with the RH not below 90% for 14 days - 7 of which the dehumidifier was non operational.

We will hatch chicks - I am just not sure how many.

Our roof took damage and here is our pristine beach

Oh my gosh!!! I hope no one was hurt!? What a mess to clean up :-/ And WOW talk about a sauna! That humidity just sounds awful!

I have LOCKED DOWN!!!

Most of my eggs are wiggling and chirping! I am so excited! I can't wait till hatch day!

You already have chirping!!! SOOOO exciting!!!

I made a short video to get the chick experience!

They are Partridge Penedesencas, UofA blues and UofA Blue x Crele Pene Olive Eggers

This just makes me even more anxious and excited!!! They are SO stinkin' cute!! EEEEEEK! Why do you have egg cartons on the side of the Brinsea? Is it so chicks can't squeeze over there?

Today is lockdown day! Out of my 35 chicken eggs that I set, 28 went into lockdown this morning. Pretty good percentage... 4 out of 5, IMO. I had 2 clear, 2 with blood ring, and 3 early quitters.

Now, to watch the wigglers in the next few days! I seem to get most of mine hatching on day 20, the remainder on day 21. We shall see, this time around.

lots of sponges; I have a cabinet bator with water trays on top; I use cheap celluloid sponges from the dollar store and stand them up on end, will get mine up to about 50% if I put all 36 of them in

I woke up this morning and the Hatcher temp was at 95! The kids opened a window after I went to bed. How low did yours get? For how long? Mine was perfect at 10 pm then 95 at 7am. Are we doomed?

They will be fine. Temperature is not as critical at the end of incubation.
