We know an egg has two membranes,
but do you know WHY there is another “inner” membrane in an egg? …..

Soon after an egg is laid, a small air bubble forms in the large end under the shell.
A membrane separating the mass of the egg and the air bubble
serves as a diaphragm to relieve stress and pressure resulting from thermal changes of temperature.

Doesn't it also facilitate the dillosution of oxygen and gasses through the membrane and into the blood vessels. Which one is the Chorion and which is the placenta, is there an amnion?

I have to correct myself: yesterday I said that I would be setting my turkey eggs on the 18th, but I will actually be setting them on the 22nd.

Anyone here ever deal with a blind chicken? I have one. She has been in the house for weeks now. She had been loosing weight but is doing much better now.

I have not but have heard of a companion chicken as a seeing eye chicken for the blind one to follow.

Is someone keeping a secret participant list somewhere? Normally it's page 1. I'm guessing to keep all of the contest guessers guessing?

Yes, there is a list, but it's not there yet. We're busily focusing on getting the contests going. It will be there soon.
