Baby's nursing; happy momma!!! =D
It does happen some years. This year just happens to be a REALLY bad snow year for us. I feel super luck because we didn't lose power this year or last. The year prior We lost power for a week and a half straight. Blagh
Oh, wow!
A week and a half!!!! I agree; Blagh!!!
We have had a very WET winter, meaning ice and snow and with that comes weight, we havent had any big issues until this year.

Now all netting will be replaced with wire somehow

Oh. We've had a wet winter too, but it's just more rainy days, which just keeps the kids inside more, but there isn't more damage. and I think they've been crying drought here for a few years; IDK. If it doesn't rain for a week, we're having a drought; if it rains two days in a row, something's flooding.

I went to a feed store here in town today. They had just gotten a shipment of chicks/ducks in today. Of course, I have to look. There was a little duck on it's back having a hard time. At first I thought it was just stuck like that, but it was dieing. I asked if I could have it to take home and try to bring it along. I gave it some electrolytes, knowing that this would either help it, or help it go faster. That stuff can be a shock to them when they are close to death. So far, it's still breathing. Can anyone tell me what kind of duck this is? I can't keep a duck, but I couldn't leave it there, the others were just trampling all over it..which is what I think happened all the way to the store. Crossing fingers for it..I'm sure I can find someone that will take it if it lives.

At least it isn't being trampled on now. It can rest in peace. Or go in peace.

Parts of OH, PA & WV got hit much harder this year than they have in MANY years.
Just go act like you are going to do it yourself. He'll feel guilty & come take over...lol
I see. I just never understood what goes along with "too much" snow. First, any is "too much" for me. and second, ppl say "oh, it snowed x inches, etc." and someone else commisserates, but I don't get it I just wouldn't know what to do with any snow at all, let alone "too much".

Also, that doesn't work on my DH. I'll walk over his feet fifteen times to change the sheets by myself, when he gets into bed and sees the sheets are a different color, he says "oh, you should have told me, I'd have helped"........I'm thinking I had a pile of blankets and pillows almost fall on your computer; how did you not know??????

No idea, but how sweet of you! I hope the little duckling makes it.

Thank you...

That was fast. Just went to check on it, and sure enough, the electrolytes was too much for it. At least it died in a quiet place. Cute little thing, wish I could have ducks.
