Rough day yesterday led to a tad bit too much vino. I managed to keep myself from posting anything crazy on Facebook. I did NOT manage to keep myself away from the hair dye... Someone really needs to keep a better eye on me.

haha I always feel like I am flooding the thread when I start adding photos. here is a good one though- excuse my one wet chick, he ran headfirst into the water dish when i went to catch them. these are all button quail except for one is an african harlequin quail. the big honker in the right middle of the photo

Nice day out today, no rain or snow. Went out, DH changed a tarp on one of the runs..it got ruined during all of our windy days through the winter, and I cleaned out the nursery coop, and put those babies in another coop/run, and took two from the house and put them in the clean nursery. Ahh, nice to get that done

I hate clean move things around days. But it is a good feeling when its done.

I know there has been some discussion on different candling methods. This is the flashlight that my husband bought me for Christmas. It is the only thing I have found to show development in marans eggs. I have even been able to see veins in some of the eggs. But definately development. Warning...Do not look into the light, you will see spots for days lol.

Also, it is bigger than it looks and you need to block some of the light to candle.

I'm usually asleep by 9pm. Why am I still awake at 1:15am??? Probably has a lot to do with the ex blowing up my phone with texts all day begging me to let him come back and then getting calls & texts from 2 other people trying to start crap because he put them up to it. OMG!!! GROW UP!!!. You're 41 years old. Act like it!!!
And still has no clue why I threw him out & his nieces won't let him stay at their houses.

Sorry, just needed to vent a bit.

In poultry news, I have my first Ancona ducklings hatching as I type!!! I hear peeping & have a couple pips!!!

Good morning everyone!! Was up until almost midnight working on my coop plans in sketchup. Then I deeply regretted that when at 2am my 6yr old had a bad dream... then again at 2:30 when he said he couldn't fall asleep... oh, and again at 3:30 when his older sister came in mad that I had put her younger brother in her bed (to help him sleep) - and yet again at 5am when my 20mo old decided to wake up for the day. WHEW can someone hook me up to an Coffee IV???

Are you looking in my windows? Yes, red was the weapon of choice, unfortunately time escaped me and it may have stayed on my head a weeee bit longer than intended and on my face, and on the rug and..... Thank GOD my beautiful Bella dog steered clear of me.
