Might be a silly question, but if you pulled them from the incubator why did you put them in the fridge and then write don't eat on them?

Clearly my husband is kind of creeped out about the eggs (he'll get over it. I just buy a dozen white eggs and mix one with ours, so he's not really sure which he's eating!), and I didn't know if it was okay for them to be eaten after they've been 100 degrees for a day. Planned on giving the chickens a scrambled snack!

I am joining the 2014 Hatch-along. I am a newbie, and I have no incubator. I am using a Prince Lionheart wipes warmer I saw in a box of old baby stuff. So far, the temp is 97°F and Humidity is 61% (using a moistened paper towel folded in the corner). I am testing tonight to see if I can put the eggs in there. I am putting a barrier between the bottom of the warmer and the eggs.
2 Cochins
2 Copper Marans
1 White Leghorn
1 Brahma
I am very interested to see if that works.

Good morning all!!! Morning #2 with a feverish toddler :-(  Been up since 5am so I immediately checked my eggs and they look... well they look like eggs! HA!! Temperature is holding steady at 99.5. My humidity is at 51%... is this too high???? I had added a little water before I set the eggs - but I didn't realize that once I set the eggs the humidity would shoot up! Ugh :-(  I suppose this is stuff you learn as you go along. I have my vent open too. On my little built in hygrometer on the top of my incubator it shows the needle is right in the middle of the "incubating" section so I'm hoping it's okay.

How's everyone else doing? I'm going to finish my coop build in sketch up today!! DH said next weekend we will start building it in the garage - YAY!!!!

My humidity stays around 55-55%. I raise it to about 65-70% during the last few days. I know some people say this is high. But in my area this has worked great. I hatched all my babies a few days ago and they were all fine. So I'm gonna keep going with that. I live in Florida.

That's right I stole 'em- you just keep walking goose!

I know they don't count for the hatch a long, but I am still super excited to get some goose eggs! I am up to 6 now.

It is day 22 and it was the first to pip and the others are a lot farther along then this one now. I actually think it started to pip on the wrong side. I'm not sure though because it is an odd shaped egg, but it looks like it piped on the smaller side. I didn't candle it to make sure because I'm scared they will dry out
