i hate mud more than snowGood Sunday Morning everyone! Im so glad set day has come and mostly went. Everyone has been posting like crazy but Im keeping up like a champ lol. Everones eggs are looking great, soon we will be seeing chick pics. Today is yucky and rainy and dreary as it will be for the next 10 days or so. On the plus side of it ALL the snow is melting away. But it causing some deep gushy mud everywhere YUCK.
pretty egg. What is wrong with him?I pulled out two eggs late last night that were bumping the motor in my incubator. I stuck them in the fridge and wrote "don't eat." This morning I find this from my husband who is still squeamish about eating ANY of our backyard eggs...I decided to candle the two eggs, just to see how it works. My pics are pretty, but you can't tell anything after a day, can you? The yolk seemed to float around in that green egg.![]()

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday with a Brinsea 20 Eco. Now I know why the last eggs in it did not develop. I just thought it was because they were shipped eggs.****! My incubator has been steady at 100 for days, and today decides to jump up to 105 with 30 minutes last check. I opened it to cool it down and am still battling it. I hope this didn't kill my eggs - I've been waiting for these marans for a month!
How many do you set?I got my eggs set yesterday at noon. Hopefully it will go well. I had to borrow a incubator. Mine goes into lock down this evening with the eggs of my turkey hen who died on the nest.
I had 71 but by request of a young boy(farmers son who raises his own small flock) wanting his own chicks set another 12 this am early which will be a total of 83 if you'll allow.
I have the Eco 20 and have had 100% hatch all last year of fertile eggs, I didn't count the ones that were not fertile. I've never had to adjust it since I've started. I'm sorry you are having problems. I just candled my first ones set for the season and all are wiggly chicks they go into lockdown on Wed.
