That's what happened to me too! 6 foot fence around their enclosure and whatever it was was getting over. Foxes are notorious climbers. Locked them in the coop like you and then it figured out how to get under the fence for that part of the enclosure too! I tried trapping it (it tried digging under the trap), I tried hunting it, I tried having my boys pee, and I reinforced the section of fence it got under. I left my large black lab out in the back yard for a few days and any evidence of activity stopped completely immediately after that. Maybe you could borrow a dog? It will be back and soon.
Solar electric fence netting!

They will not climb if they are zapped!

Re-posting just in case... I've got 10 turkey eggs set 3/22, and 66 LF (33 BO, 19 FR, 15 barnyard surprises that are either BR or BR/DC)... Ooops, I guess that's 67. Darn Chicken math! Will take a pic tonight after outside work time is done. Also watching over hen turkey setting on four eggs and two golf balls starting Friday night.

Can anyone tell me how to do a USPS label for a LIVE chick shipment? It telling me to go to PO but its giving me a discount to do it online, I am so frustrated, do I click hazardous materials to get it to go through? Confused!! thank u!! @SilkieSensation

PM me if you didn't get this sorted out & I'll see if I can walk you through it. I wasn't on much yesterday. I was too busy puking.

The first post says 76 for you so the numbers are transposed. That is very common and accounts for a big part of the 1 in 10 errors in data entry....

So before we discarded our eggs with rolling air cells - I took video of one. Thought I'd show ya'll :) Hopefully you can see it without having to squint LOL

Yep, I've seen two of those..one has settled down into the air sac area. Not floating around anymore..so fingers crossed it will hatch, I've had them hatch before.
Hey! I could see that without even squinting. lol...I love my computer glassed. :D

I'm hoping it doesn't come back, but I know it probably will so I have both my chickens and ducks under lock and key! I really hope her eggs see had left are okay, but since the low was 40F this morning I'm not thinking they'll make it.

So hope those eggs are ok. So sorry..a fox, and I worry about cats! Ferrel cats, had one get one of my HRIR's as a pullet. Caught her in a live trap though. I'm thinking a fox is probably too smart for those ey?

I really need to do something about it, but I'm not sure what I can do because I don't know anyone that would have a dog that is used to being around chickens/ducks enough to let them sit out there with them and I don't really have time to buy a puppy and train it in time to fix the problem. My neighbors even had something get 24 of their chickens in one night about a month ago and they thought it was an owl because there was feathers everywhere and no blood, but now I'm guessing it was probably the same fox that got mine.
