Today is day 9 and I'm afraid all the Turkeys are duds. I'll leave them in until Friday. I havn't figured out what to do with the extra eggs/bator yet because of these crazy Turkeys so I'm just listing my set numbers now and I'll worry about the 3 doz I have waiting another day.

10 Brabanter
11 BBS ORP
12 Cuckoo ORP
20 SFH
2 MFL
6 GLW
10 EE

71 chicken eggs? Is that right? Well I won't have that many hatch. The Orps, SFH and Brabanters are shipped.

Plus 23 Turkeys. A total of 94. I'll find the document and add the number. I'll send pictures soon too.
I guess the count page is not self editing? Put me down for a total of 94 eggs this time. Thank you! I hate to eat the others... will see what I can do

Sent 18 eggs to a friend for picking up Friday before Easter. The broody house will be hopping!

Were they shipped?

I hope the do well for you.

I have a small hatch in lockdown too.

Edit..duh...read this wrong! lol

The silkie eggs were shipped, yes. I have 9 that made it out of 13 shipped. I always worry about these little eggs durning lock down. I'm excited for them, hope they do well, I have a lot of people wanting some, but I want some too..need more.

I put 10 Black Copper Marans eggs under my broody Marans hen on Saturday and another fresh laid Black Copper Marans egg one on Sunday. I was told by another BYC'er that I should post on this page so that I could be added to the Easter count. I didn't set the eggs at 12 PM. It was after dark because this is the easiest time to move broody hens (and I didn't know about the set time for the hatch along and wasn't home at 12PM anyways).

So please add Qty (11) Black Copper Marans Eggs to the count.

Reminder - with a total please, so Mike doesn't have to do math.

When you are finished setting ALL of your eggs, please post in this thread, how many total eggs you set for this Hatchalong. (anything +/- 2 days from set day counts)

If you ended up not setting any eggs, please also let us know, so we can record it and know when the count is done.

If you can, post pictures of the eggs you set. (Because we all love looking at pretty eggs in an incubator) If you have a broody, don't worry about it unless you take the picture before you give them to your broody.

Okay, I scrolled back 4-5 pages and see several other people with their individual totals, but don't see the running count. I assume that means Mike still has to do Math. :) I don't have photos of the actual eggs under the broody, but most of them are from the hen that laid these eggs. The rest are from a second hen that laid eggs that are just as big and almost as dark.

This egg was laid 3 weeks ago from our Prize winning hen that laid 6 of the eggs under our broody hen.

Here are her eggs that took 2nd place Black Copper Marans Eggs, 3 place over all eggs, and Champion People's Choice Eggs at the South Regional Marans Meet two weeks ago in Dripping Springs, Texas.

And the eggs on the bottom row labeled No. 12 are her eggs she was laying at the beginning of her laying cycle in December. Oh...and the daddy of these eggs was the Reserve Champion Black Copper Marans at the Show in College station out of 26 Black Copper Marans that were entered. We are really looking forward to the Easter Hatch.

No snow in the midwest just at Happy Chooks in Sunny California.
What? We don't have snow

Oh, you mean THAT California.

California being the size of several states all together can have 4 seasons at once! I'm in the Central Valley and its a blustery Spring day! Fresh and green after a light rain.

ron, I thought you were asking me about Arielles eggs that I set last Fri...they are so pretty..and I have some pretty blue ones set too. So, at least I have several for this hatch a long.

Silkiesensation...still no eggs! I think they are lost in P.O. la la land.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!
Quote: That is just crazy! Our oldest son had something once where he had a temp of almost 105` f. It was crazy. Went on for days. Finally since the doctors had no idea what was going on with him they gave him a shot of a powerful antibiotic. The next day his fever had gone down, it completely, but enough to ease the tension. They never did find out what he had that gave him that high fever.

I hope your son gets better soon.

It is never fun having a sick kid...
That is not at all uncommon. That is why there is a diagnosis called "FUO"--Fever of Unknown Origin. Hope they all get better soon!

Well, I'm out.

The quail still aren't laying and have refused to do so since a dog got on the back porch with one of the pens and scared the crap out of them. One died of a heart attack. Not kidding either. The other pen isn't laying because of the weather. I think my mom is actually happy they haven't been laying.

Next year I'll be home and I'll have a rooster by then, so I won't have to worry about one species not laying.

Sorry. :(

Sally, how is that little one of yours doing? I hope he's feeling a lot better by now. Mom is probably tired from being up with him keeping him comfortable through the night.
