ya it went from nothing to BAM huge pip! haha. as I was taking photos i realized several of my other eggs are pipping as well, ameraucanas and sizzles i believe. its going to be an exciting day

You guys need a humidifier while I suck water out of the air with a DEHUMIDIFIER.

I guess it would be boring of it was easy

No pips yet from the incubator and staring at them doesn't seem to help.

Yes I saw it. I think some of my problem could be that it got so cold here last night that we lit our wood stove! Wood stove lit =low to no humidity in the air! So I guess I will be firing up the humidifier!

We also have the wood stove going, but I keep a big pot of water on top of it...and an elderly Great Dane stretched out in front of it.

I normally have a pot of water on top also but forgot...

We just received the greatest news of our lives:

The petitions for adoption for both our kids are finalized.

We are now officially parents.

Its still a 6-9 month journey to get them to the USA but its really happening

got the webcam up- nothing as exciting as an emu hatching but I am pretty excited. plus I can go to bed tonight without starring at the incubator till all hours of the night first. if i want to check on the hatch - i just turn on my iPod and take a peek!

Y'all deserve all happiness. Miss Maddy was so happy she squealed when I told her. She's loves when you post pics of the kiddos and calls them her friends. "Those are my fwiends, Mamaw...dem wiv in a iwand."
