2 hatched and 3 pipped on my 12 meat bird eggs!!!

The duck and guinea eggs are due next Saturday....

Usually after 6 -7 hours I will help out the chick

I got my time wrong it is more like 15-17 hrs, or when it is sounding weak/distressed and it has a leathery membrane.

SEVEN happy healthy babies!!
Out of originally 12 eggs of varying ages, some were infertile, the rest early quitters.
8 made it to lockdown and one pipped, started zipping but must've somehow ruptured her own yolk and died.
The hatched babies are 6 FBCMs and one blue olive Egger (yes, blue, not splash or black). Very healthy looking and active and very responsive to my voice! Yay!!
All are from my own flock and I did a dry incubation but bumped the humidity at lockdown. Very pleased with the results.

That is a nice hatch all right..and I love NN's.

You know this year the Naked Necks have really gone fast after the hatch almost before anything else, usually I have had a hard time moving them. I'm going to have to have a special hatch just for myself so that I can get some replacement hens.

Sadly none of my hal babies hatched however i have seven bym in the incubator showing development, and three duck eggs under a broody with veining so perfect i could cry.
