Well, of the 4 Jennys we rescued, 2 turned out to be Jacks

I have some weird luck. Not bad, not good...just weird luck. But I have been able to get 2 to socialize with me. So going good.

donkeys are like chicken math you will have 6 donkeys next year. AND donkey babies are so cute and easy to fall in love with. LOL

Update (missing cochin): 100% hatch on her eggs. All 6 babies are out and doing great!

donkeys are like chicken math you will have 6 donkeys next year. AND donkey babies are so cute and easy to fall in love with. LOL

You know they make pack saddles that you can use on them. Get them tame enough and get a work collar and you can put their strength to work helping you on the farm. With a collar and harness they can even move a big chicken tractor for you. There is a book called "How to Clicker Train Your Horse". I highly recomend it especially in the case of donkeys. The training method really works well on animals with a "stubborn" nature mainly by not triggering that response.

hey guys, I missed all the Easter hatch alongs bc none of my ducks made it.
But I set Lavender Orps April 12th, shipped all the way from Va.
Out of 8, 7 were set for lockdown, I locked down a day early to make sure they were settled and aircells were exactly where I expected them to pip.
Any how here they are so far
2 pipped yesterday and hatched over night and this morning.

Wish there was a book on how to train stubborn/lazy men.

Some of the techniques in the book about horses actually work on people as long as you can disguise the fact that you are "training" them. You have to get sneaky. It is easier if you are working with children. No need to disguise it so.

Stubborn can be worked with. If someone is so lazy that if they were on fire they wouldn't jump in the water save themselves...... well there isn't anything that will fix that.
