My brooder is full of Jersey Giants. Got one adult keeping my Light Sussex in line. He's a big dark green reluctant lumbering softie.
The brooder is in my living room, dust is everywhere

. I've hatched turkeys for a friend before, but for a friend. They grow fast

HANDS UP THOES OF YOU WHO HAVE A TURKEY BROODER IN THEIR FRONT ROOM ? Be honest lol

Can you imagine 12 six week old turkeys in your living room, how would you-- ! !!!!!----------- don't think this is happening.

Thanks again! Skelter came today. Need to get more variety in my colors now. The BR and RIR look too similar. Might have to get a blue/green layer.

So my HAL babies are just 2 1/2 weeks old and already I am starting to see signs of who is which gender. I have 5 left of 8 (sold 3) and brought them into the sunlight today (instead of under the brooder lamp) and 1 of 5 has a comb that is starting to pink up much more than the others. So I've got at least one roo - too bad he's a lot darker coloring than I want to breed for. Here's hoping for a gold-headed roo in my hatch tomorrow or at the end of the month.
