Me too! Me too!![]()
Not sure what kind I'll be hatching out, but probably some Olive Eggers, Partridge Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, and maybe some Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.
Sounds like a lot more fun than my office job!You better be careful... you will end up with a line of chicken crazy people at your doorstep lol
I'd totally do it!Agri-tourism - Filipino style
A future project
I think we all feel the same way... I want to hatch everything and keep every thing and have a pen for a gazzilion breeds lol... I eventually come back to my senses and have to downsize, which is a bummer lol. This year I have decided to rehome my flock of turkeys and maybe some chicken layers that way I have more space to work with 2 chicken breeds, and keep maybe one small layer flock. Wish I could keep everything. All from my flock.
The Partridge Rocks are leftovers from the kids 4-H project and they just started laying the first of the month...I hope their eggs will be ready to set by then...at least a few.
I have a three Americanas hens which I am crossing with a Splash Copper Maran rooster hoping to get some Olive Eggers.
I have three Rhode Island Red Hens and a RIR Rooster.
And then I was able to get 3 BLRW hens and 1 rooster for a Christmas present. They have been molting but I'm hoping they will start back to laying in time for the hatch-a-long.
I have a few that are mixed hens too.
Side note: I also have some young Silver Laced Wyandottes that I'm hoping to cross with the BLRW to get some Lavender. I'm also planning on crossing the SLWs with the RIR Rooster too. I have lots of plans...just not enough room or time![]()
