I did some checking on them. It seems that they like to hatch with a wide range of time. A couple of Guinnea people said to lock them down on day 24 to make sure you catch come early hatching keets.

So use 28 days but lock them down on day 24.

We're 3 weeks out from the set date for chicken eggs and I still need to get thermometers and a new humidity gage since mom lost mine. No idea how that happened. I'm just going to get another PETCO brand gage, but I'm not 100% on whether to get fish tank thermometers or not.

What would y'all suggest?

Raz is right, it won't be long until we set, then we candle, then we candle again, then we lockdown...then we get some of these cuties...or, another type of cute baby fowl...

What is it about a little yellow chick? Cuteness!

I mostly use Accurite digital thermometer/hydrometers. I get them from Walmart (http://www.walmart.com/ip/16888914) for about $10. It's always a good idea to calibrate them against a known good thermometer (human fever thermometers are good).

I will be hatching:
Midget White turkeys
guineas
CCL's
Welsummers
BCM's (Marans)
BBS Ameracaunas
Rhodebars
Olive Eggers
Black sex links
