Wowzers, people, everyone is wanting to book eggs for the Easter HAL, if only I had a magic trick to make the chickens lay extra eggs the first couple of weeks of March!

It was the last sentence that had me worried, LOL. If a contest made the NYD Hatcha a long lose its "It is all about the comradery and fun here on the Easter Hatchalong!!" then I will cancel that contest!

Exactly! In all the years I've participated (2 or 3 Easter Hatch-a-longs since I missed last year) I've never won anything, but it doesn't matter because the fun we have here is completely worth it! It's like you win no matter what because you get to meet new people, make new friends, help people that are having problems, get help yourself, and a ton of other things I can't think of at the moment! These things ALWAYS bring a smile to my face. It's the people, not the prizes.

I totally agree!! The people here are awesome. This will be my third HAL. Second Easter one and just was part of the NYD HAL.

I am hatching emu eggs for the hatch-a-long!!!!!! Well that is if I am allowed. Putting emu eggs in today so that means hatching 4 days before easter....If we are considering emu eggs at exactly at 53 days of incubation.

We love love the emu eggs..especially if you have a video for them while hatching! Youtube it.
