HEY. These dang recipes are messing up my data plan. I love corned beef and u guys...but Im low on funds. I cant upgrade my plan with 4 kids and 3 baby mommas

I'm going to see if the red pepper flakes are going to work.

I baked my chickens a big pan of cornbread and put a 1.75 oz botkke of pepper flakes in it along with some ground sage. Someone said that sage helps also.

So ill see if they start pumping out the eggs in a couple if days. They sure were eating that hot cornbread up.

If that don't work then I'm going to bake them another Ian of cornbread and use some jalapeño that I have frozen in my freezer. I'll see that will make them pump out the eggs.

Then if that don't work then I'm just gonna keep on feeding them until I can get some replacements then off with their heads.

I wasn't going to.................said I would only hatch under a broody...............then a predator got one of my males...............and I want offspring from him, because he was my top male...................still said I wasn't going to...............but.....................I set 23 Welsummer eggs.

And yes, I took 2 out of the fridge, cuz they were pretty, as you can see in the picture.

It wasn't my fault, someone twisted my arm - had a gun to my head - the Easter Bunny made me do it. It's a fertility test, yeah, that's it. And they are too pretty to eat. Think my DH will buy it?

This picture shows their color more correctly.

Sorry to hear you lost your top male. But those are some nice eggs, its a good thing you caved and the Easter Bunny got all mean on you... DH will understand, you had no choice in the matter.

Stressed about my eggs....

Last night was stormy and windy. The power went out around 11 PM and didn't kick back on until 4:00 AM. I have two full incubators right now.

I immediately covered the incubators in blankets and placed glasses of near-boiling water inside each one.

It was an icy cold night, and the baby chicks that I am holding for a relative started peeping up a storm around 2 AM. I actually took them all out and wrapped them up in my robe while I tried to study for my final exam this morning by candle light... It was hard to focus. They quieted down immediately, though...and went to sleep. I figure they were cold. The house seemed to cool down quite quickly.

I had two final projects due by midnight (I am a full-time student and a couple of my classes are online), but I wasn't able to submit them because the power went out. Luckily, my instructor was kind enough to let me turn them in this morning.

Sorry... just had to rant a bit. Finals week has me sleep deprived and feeling stressed and cranky. The power gong out has me worried about my eggs.
Oh goodness, sounds like you did good things though! Glad you were able to get your papers turned in. Not all instrutors are that nice. Get some sleep!
