Try to bump it down just a little. 1F. With a fan, 99.5-100.5 is ideal. Having had issues in the past with low incubation temps in the corners, I stay at the higher end of the range. It's a water heater thermostat.

Thanks! I have 6 in that container. I put a styrofoam egg carton top with holes poked through down the middidle sandwiched between eggs in cartons and the strawberry container hoping to get some separation between breeds...
Hard to do, but, yes. Let nature handle it!! Otherwise, if you know what time she gets off the nest, you can check then. She will mostly likely stay on the nest while the eggs are hatching. My first-time broody is doing well with her five eggs. I think she'll stick.
Broody folk: how do you check the eggs without pestering the hen. Impossible? Is lifting the hen the same as lifting the bator lid? I want to monitor her hatching babies, but I don't want to fiddle her to death. Just walk away and let Nature handle it?
I don't bother broody hens at all.My first-time broody is doing well with her five eggs. I think she'll stick.
