The 6th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

My hatch a long eggs are scheduled to hatch tomorrow-Friday. My incubator holds humidity for up to two days and then I have to add water to the thanks. This morning I added water because humidity was going down--to 60%.

I made sure there were not pips and then removed the eggs
I added water to the tanks
put the eggs back in and then put the top back on
Humidity was back up to 63% quickly

This is one of the advantages of using plastic trays and cartons. If I has set them on their sides I would have been better of suing a tube to fill the channels.

So many babies and so many posts, LOL. Cant read them all now but I will! Here is the promised pic of the first to hatch last night. Pretty little Serema. She finally had a cohort hatch about 20 minutes ago who is a completely different color.

I put my eggs into lock-down tomorrow. Did a quick candle today to see if i need to toss any. One that i was sure quit moved! So glad I didn't toss it. 18/20 will go into lock-down. These are shipped eggs and most have bad air cells. I am hopeful but afraid none will hatch. I am going to hatch in cartons to hopefully improve the odds.
