Ok I decided to go ahead and lockdown incubator number 2. This is the bator that was running to cool, so I expect maybe late hatchers at best. I locked down because I swear I saw an egg wiggling around, I watched it for a while and thought it moved a few times so I went with it and they are in lock down too.

This incubator started with 35 mixed breed eggs I pulled 1 clear and 9 quiters(maybe due to low bator temps), 25eggs (a few are questionables) went into lock down.

Hope they all hatch for ya!

On a scale from 0-10, how bad is it if I take out 3 chicks from the incubator if there are no pips in the remaining eggs??? We had 3 hatch really early, and I'm worried about one.

Only dream that could top it was the one where I had some Olive pits/seeds growing under my wrist. When I tried to pull them out my hand came off like a glove and under it were a bunch of Olive's growing and in background I had this exclamation, Thats what was causing my wrist pain! So I took out all the pits along with their shoots and tried to put my hand back on but it wouldn't fit. What are dreams without any trouble!

I guess I had been reading too many posts about Olive eggers!

That is funnier! That is obsessed! Wow. You love your chickens don't you?!!!

Like, 2 IMO. Just add a wet sponge when you take the babies out to quickly boost the humidity that you'll lose when you take them out.

Not too horrible if you do it quickly and don't let too much humidity escape. It's helpful to have someone else open, you grab, they close so it's one swift movement. You can also keep a spray bottle of room temp water on hand, spray a mist right before closing it back up. Not enough to soak the eggs, just a tiny bit to help hold humidity.

Candled for a lockdown plan, dropped an egg on the table and its cracked in the middle half way across and a quarter of the way down. There was no oozing though! I have put nail polish on it hoping to seal the crack. The embryo is till alive and moving. Is it safe to put it back with the other eggs?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I hope you saved that egg. I have one that I cracked (big crack) a couple weeks ago and I think it's going to make it. He is in the air cell now getting ready to hatch.
