So… discussion with some other chicken people has me scratching my head. I was told that hot water expands eggs so they push bacteria out and then closes the pores. I've never in my life heard that. Have any of you?

Ive got 29 chicks hatched :). Not a lot compared to the 76 eggs I set, but that was due to infertile shipped eggs. All but a couple of my own eggs hatched :)
