JoyfulPromise, any update on your little chick??

Thanks for asking, but sadly, it didn't make it.

It was too active and ended up puncturing the exposed yolk sack. But I am very thankful for the 29 healthy chicks that I have, and they are all doing well with their adoptive broody mothers.

Congratulations on your beautiful Sultan chicks!

One of my HAL is cute puffy cheek fat black chick from a green egg. The mother is EE and father Ghost Barred Leghorn mix ... Would it be considered an Easter Egger?

Yes, an Easter Egger.

Should be quite productive--The chick may lay lighter eggs if it is a pullet.

Just an FYI
I ordered 2 of them from brinsea. Read over a degree different. Called. They sent me a 3rd. It came and doesn't want to stay on if it turns on at all. I left them a message. I will be requesting a refund and a postage paid return label. They are real cheesy if you ask me. I bought a meat thermometer for $7. It can be recalibrate as well.

Hey guys I need advice soon, we got a huge thunderstorm last night, and today, don't usually get rain here. I have/had a duck laying on some eggs, that are developing great, the duck is not on the eggs right now and the place the eggs are is totally soaked. Should I just bring them in the house to the incubator or hope it works out?

Wait to see if the duck goes back to the eggs. They can sit for several hours and be just fine. The water will not hurt them either.
