8 for 8 hatched. The last one took too long getting out and glued in but I helped it out. It may not make it still but the membrane was obviously drying out. Weird because the incubator didn't get opened but the others hatched about 12 hours before I helped this one out. I couldn't be more excited and now I know my incubator is not the problem. I think I'm hooked!

Congratulations! I hope the little one makes it:)

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a hard time cleaning the tops of mine. Where all the wires and fans are??? How do you get that disinfected and all the little chick fluff out?? Thx!

I blow mine out with a hair dryer to get the fuzz out. Then I put it outside for a few days...sorry but thats all I got.

I use an air duster to clean out the top. I spray the none electrical parts with lysol all purpose cleaner.

This is what I do. I use the bleach mix. Spray the bottom real good, let it soak only for about a few mins. Then I run hot hot water to rinse, then I run cold cold water to rinse. I get out all of the water that I can..put the lid on, and turn that heat up! I get it up around 106..run it for about two hrs. That steam gets the top real good.

I actually got them local. I think it was bad directions not bad eggs. I'll know for sure if these that are pipping actually hatch. Let's hope!
Okay! Some success! One chick has hatched. Not due til Tuesday but there's one hatched anyway... Still 5 more pipped and 2 more that haven't seen any activity. This chick was from a blue egg. It seems to be primarily black. So, I think this one may be a cross between a Black Jersey Giant over an Easter Egger... I could not be more pleased that I got one to hatch!!!
Great. Congratulations!!!
