He very pretty but yes that us a pretty good sized bow tie. So count on at least 1/4 if their babies being fully feathered. But you can still build your flock up pretty good with NN.

Compared to my hen: his looks small....lol She's the ee/nn

I don't have any LF NN. I do have a what I guess would be a showgirl that hatched out of some silkie eggs I bought last year. None of the parents were NN but I guess the gene must have been recessive....I just realized I don't have any pictures of her. I need to remedy that next time we have nice weather. I was never a fan of NN. Said I would never own any. Lol Guess Turkey grew on me. Yes I named her Turkey.

Grrr, I was going to get eggs from ladycat, but someone was borrowing my Bator and wasn't sure when I would get it back. Turns out they bought a incubator the other day and I can have mine back! Oh well.

They also ordered EEs, SSs and banty hatching eggs, I can maybe get some of those. And I want to order cots too .

I never thought I wanted any either, but now I am looking foreward to breeding and raising my own and eventually I will get my showgirl too. Yes, you need to remedy that. Would love to see! Our roo's name is David. My son (first grade homeschooler) as soon as he saw we had a nn hatch decided it needed to be named David I finally got out of him why and it was because he was a naked neck....so he shoud be named after that naked statue of Michaelangelo's lol (We had done children in Italy as a kindergarten unit about children around the world and our book had some of the art in it...lol)

Hey everyone!! I just got a batch of B/B/S Marans eggs & Barnevelders, so I guess I'm in again this year! I was planning on sitting this one out, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do, right? I'll be setting the 12th though, it's already killing me not to put them in right now, lol!

I was hoping to set some of my own eggs with this HAL but the girls are not cooperating.

The only one laying right now is my leghorn and hers are still infertile. Apparently she doesn't like the boys I put in with them. She attacks them then runs. Lol Guess I'll have to settle for my shipped BCMs and the couple banty eggs I have saved.

Oooo, not a bad thing to settle for..also setting Marans.

2 of 4 shipped eggs are in. Hoping for the other 2 by tomorrow. Was trying to set tomorrow but it looks like the shipped ones will have to go in later. I don't like splint hatched that close together. O well as long as I get them in.

Both of mine will hopefully be here tomorrow.

Can you imagine what the P.O.'s are thinking? Wondering? What's up with all of these eggs..or, if they have worked there for a while...they may be thinking, oh brother, here we go again. Of course..a lot of them don't even see the packages, just our close at home guys/gals. Will find a ...not so fun video.

its 97% humidity here and my dry bator is running at 49%, not exactly what I was looking for.
