I don't have any LF NN. I do have a what I guess would be a showgirl that hatched out of some silkie eggs I bought last year. None of the parents were NN but I guess the gene must have been recessive....I just realized I don't have any pictures of her. I need to remedy that next time we have nice weather. I was never a fan of NN. Said I would never own any. Lol Guess Turkey grew on me. Yes I named her Turkey.

One of the parents had to have benn naked neck or a show girl ( sulked naked neck) in order for her to be naked necked. The naked neck gene if it doesn't show then it doesn't carry the naked neck gene. Look up Kev on the naked neck thread they can explain it better about the inheriting the gene.

Oh man I am tired of fertility problems.... My buff Orpingtons have 0%fertility right now I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. Turns out the hens hate the Roo they are in with.

@Mama Bay your eggs are on their way, they will probably be delivered tomorrow or Friday. You should let them settle for 24 hrs with big side up and then candle to see if the air sac is fine before setting them. I am sure there are experts here who can guide you through the process. If you have not purchased a candler yet, here is a what I am using:

at $16, its a little expensive compared to some other LEDs but the advantage is you can use it with electric power, so will not fade if the batteries become weak.

Can you imagine what the P.O.'s are thinking?  Wondering?   What's up with all of these eggs..or, if they have worked there for a while...they may be thinking, oh brother, here we go again.  Of course..a lot of them don't even see the packages, just our close at home guys/gals.  Will find a ...not so fun video. 

I got to meet the lady that delivers my mail. She said that shed take care if my next two shipments for me as I will be pretty busy the next cup yoke if days with the funeral. She said that she would handle carefully in deliver straight to my front porch. Isn't that nice if her?

Ok after seeing Cynthia's video, I have to ask...because it seems everybody uses USPS for shipping eggs, has anyone ever tried UPS or Fed ex, and if not why? Just wondering if they would be worse or better than USPS?
