It is confirmed, I am completely crazy! I got all my chickens set last night, all 126 of them!
There is still room left for the quail and a few more that I expect next week that won't make it in time for the hal.
So my totals are
16 bantam ducks
126 chickens and
15 coturnix quail I'll be setting Monday
So if my math is right that is 157 eggs!!! :jumpy
Here is all of them except the quail and the 16 the broodies have.

Hi everyone! This is my first time hatching chicks in an incubator and I took the risk of buying eggs off of Ebay.  I have never done this before but I'm hoping someone could give me advice on what to do when the eggs arrive.  I know shipped eggs are a gamble but I thought I would give it a try.

Hi Meesh,

When I get shipped eggs I immediately candle to look for damage/anomalies in on shells. I then let them rest upright
(point down) for 24-48, depending on egg's age and sir-cell condition.
When air-cells are extra 'wonky' I will rest them in carton in incubator for first day or so and keeping them in the egg carton I move/angle the entire carton instead of each individual egg. Also hatch eggs in top of egg carton to ease clean-up and I fret less over eggs getting bumped/rolled around...

. I was gonna say that would put a damper on your egg laying, but it appears that is not a problem lol.

Ya, that probably wasn't the best thing they told me either, cause until they said that I was determined I was only going to do the three or four recommended days....lol But, I did alter my addiction so that it was only a 3-4 and not the same 3-4 being handled on a noghtly basis.
Lol my three year old loves to watch the baby move all around so last year I kept candling probably 5 plus times a day, Im pretty sure that many times is what killed the first 8 of them. I will go with you logic and only do a few once a day

I set 27 chicken eggs. I won't be home until a little later (had to stay the night at my MIL's to keep the dogs from going nuts while no one is here) and I'll post a pic then. I still have to set quail next week and won't know what I'll have until then.
