I set 20 eggs.
12 Blue Silkies
8 Blue Orpingtons
I ordered Easter Eggers but that haven't showed up in the mail. Oh, well. :-(

I'm so excited!!!

I have 7 in my little bator. And 3 under my broody Goldie.(aka Momma) :yiipchick

This is my second time incubating and my first time using a broody. It will be so fun to see how they compare! I'm hoping that when all is said and done, Momma will accept the chicks from the bator along with her own. I'm curious if anyone has had success with this.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I have given a broody hatchery chicks right after she hatched two of her own. She took them just fine. You just have to watch them to make sure. Good luck!

I just set 24 eggs in my Brinsea! Hoping to set more in my homemade bator before Monday if the current hatch is done by then. I'll post again if that happens. I'm soooo excited!

I haven't set mine yet, I'm hoping my neighbor who has tons of roos and hens can get me some eggs to add to my pitiful supply, but they're barely laying,

So far she's gotten 1!
