Need Help!

The incubator's humidity is sitting at 87% and won't go down. There isn't even any water in it either. The eggs aren't set yet. What do I do?

Also, do you set bantam eggs at the same time as large breed eggs?

Did you just wash it?

It takes 24 hours or so for the moisture to dry out of the stryofoam.

I have heard tampons work well to lower humidity.

I'm setting 18 eggs. The Blue eggs are from Ebay and I'm not sure they will survive because they were covered in yolk and I had to gently wash them. The rest are from my mixed flock but my rooster is only 13 weeks old so I don't know if they are fertile. I hope I get a few...
I am SO glad to see you here! I was feeling your pain as you waited for your eggs and how you found them. Im rooting for a 100% hatch for you!

Stick in a bowl of rice or dry oatmeal to absorb humidity.
Thank you. I will try that right away.

No, it is just really humid here, 76% in the rest of the house. Probably even higher outside. I am in Florida and the weather has been really wet and warming up quite a bit.

They are really absorbent, but I am fresh out. LOL!
