Temp dropped to 96.5 during the night. Really worried since it is only Day One.

I put a towel over the top of the incubator this morning, hoping that will hold in some heat. And it isn't too late for my poor eggs

I guess Im gonna have to be the safety department.
FOR THOSE OF YOU SETTING EGGS:
1) COFFEE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR SLEEP.
2) 21 DAYS WITHOUT SLEEP WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR OVERALL HATCH RATE.
3) CAFFEINE MAKES U HYPER...I wake up 300 posts behind some mornings. Tell your uncle happy birthday by the way, and Im glad your granny finally milked her first goat while bungee jumping. Sorry about your neighbors dog wrecking that skateboarder. He probably had it coming anyway.
4) STOP BLINDING YOUR INFANT BABIES. You know who you are...candling every 15 minutes..how would you like if someone lit you up every 15 minutes with a couple million candlepower light. Looking at a dang heartbeat.

Sorry it took a bit to find any pics showing the bands, and they aren't very good...

I have also used the loom bands, but you do have to be oh so careful. I would check the snugness at least weekly. I left some on once too long and my poor baby lost some circulation. She is fine now, but I felt soo bad. Has anyone ever tried the wing bands.

Help me decide please!!!

My Brinsea is all full 49 eggs
PI-24 incubator tray is all full as well-25 eggs
But now my brain is saying, there is room on both sides of the tray for more eggs. So what if they can't rotate for first 3-5 days, I can manually rotate them and put them in the tray once a few clears have been eliminated.

So shall I go for it? Put more eggs in? or let it go? I have about 55 minutes.

I am waiting for your votes.

But now my brain is saying, there is room on both sides of the tray for more eggs. So what if they can't rotate for first 3-5 days, I can manually rotate them and put them in the tray once a few clears have been eliminated.

So shall I go for it? Put more eggs in? or let it go? I have about 55 minutes.

If the incubator is too full to rotate each egg, then rotate the incubator. put books or something on one side and then move the books to the other side when rotating.

These new digital little giants (9300/ 10300/11300) are crazy hard to tune in. The little clear plastic thing goes everywhere (especially with the auto turner) and makes the temp go crazy. I have started threads on the 9300 and 10300 on byc and nobody can figure them out. Good luck. If u figure it out please share

I just bought the 9300 and I am doing a test hatch in it right now. I didn't see your reviews of it until after I had bought it so I guess we will see. I do have it at 103 on the digital and I have somehow got my probe to stay in the same place and it has kept consistent all weekend at 99, but I do have to admit I check it at least 3 or 4 times a day. I was hoping for a set it and forget it incubator but I guess that will be added to the wish list. It did take me several days to get it stay at 99-100 but it seems that since I put the eggs in it has been better.Here's crossing my fingers for a good hatch.
