The 6th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

I wasn't going to.................said I would only hatch under a broody...............then a predator got one of my males...............and I want offspring from him, because he was my top male...................still said I wasn't going to...............but.....................I set 23 Welsummer eggs.

And yes, I took 2 out of the fridge, cuz they were pretty, as you can see in the picture.

It wasn't my fault, someone twisted my arm - had a gun to my head - the Easter Bunny made me do it. It's a fertility test, yeah, that's it. And they are too pretty to eat. Think my DH will buy it?

My new total is 35. Sorry. I told myself I wouldn't, but I did. Now I have an egg eater. 2 yesterday and 1 today. I suspect a turkey. I wish they'd start laying so they'd mind their own business. Now to figure out who and get it stopped, one way or another.

Happy early St. Patricks Day!

Recipe for tomorrow- Crock Pot Corned Beef Brisket

1 Corned Beef Brisket
2 quarts chicken broth
6 fresh or dried bay leaves
Rainbow peppercorns

Place all ingredients in slow cooker, set to low. Enjoy in 24-36 hours. Serve with steamed vegetables, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, or bread. (Or all of the above).
