Ok Fellow Hacthaholics, there are a couple hours left, don't panic, you know you can still set those eggs that you collected on the counter today....they are calling out to you........little voices that just want to be all that they can be.......how could we possibly deny them the right to become easter babies......hmmmm?

I can't set eggs until tomorrow :-\ so I'm out of the hatch a long

Here's the picture:

All mixes: EE x CCL, BR x CCL, Splash Marans x CCL

Set about 3:00 pm 14 March 2015 (Pi Day)

It would be cool if some of the marans x ccl hatch - wouldn't they be homemade olive eggers? I hope it works. Good luck everyone!

I lost the bit that goes in the middle of my little Brinsea as well. It has a medicine bottle top in it right now.
Me too.

This was him at the Stockton show:
I hope your hatch gets you a good heir to this handsome guy.

It's a cut of beef brisket, brined in spices like peppercorns, salt, and herbs.
We Americans eat it on St. Patrick 's day because we believe it is a traditional Irish dish..... But if you're in England you may know differently.

I know it's not tradition, but I eat it every St. Patrick's day because that's the only time it is readily available. Otherwise, I would eat it all the time and weigh 500 lbs.

X2 corned beef and cabbage is tradition in this house

Well, I got an egg from the quail today. Yep, just one. That brings me up to a dozen plus whatever they lay tomorrow. I doubt they will, but here's hoping!

Is it too late to enter? I just happened to set some Faverolles/ Ameraucana and some silkied Am/Fav eggs and Lavendar Am / Fav eggs on the 13th.
Not to late. Please let us know how many eggs you set. Thank you.

I wasn't going to.................said I would only hatch under a broody...............then a predator got one of my males...............and I want offspring from him, because he was my top male...................still said I wasn't going to...............but.....................I set 23 Welsummer eggs.

And yes, I took 2 out of the fridge, cuz they were pretty, as you can see in the picture.

It wasn't my fault, someone twisted my arm - had a gun to my head - the Easter Bunny made me do it. It's a fertility test, yeah, that's it. And they are too pretty to eat. Think my DH will buy it?

Direct sunlight, getting ready to go in the Brinsea.

This picture shows their color more correctly.
Sorry about your rooster.

Quote: Ok, bummer. My girls went into their molt and all stopped laying. I had to do something with the eggs I had and didn't want to let them sit for too long.

Can I still play along?
Of course you can still play along!

It hasn't rained here for 2 whole days!:ya  It has been weeks (maybe months) since we have had 2 dry sunny days in a row. The humidity in the house went down from 48-60% to 28%. The humidity in my Brinsea went down from 31% to 27%. I have mainly CCL and Marans in it. I turned on the brand new, untested humidity pump and started out VERY SLOWLY based on @junibutt experience...and it has worked perfectly! For the time being it is set on 30%.
For CCL and Marans is 30-35% ok until lockdown? This group of eggs is a week ahead of the EHAL.

BTW, Is there still a wet chicken contest? How about mud wrestling rooster contest? I have entries!

Rooster mud wrestlin', eh? Now that sounds interesting.....
