I may be out of the hatch. Went to turn the eggs and found my thermometer at 102.3. I guess I'll find out in the next few days. This has never happened before, but it did get kinda warm in the house today. :/

no biggie there, momma has a higher body temp, mine got obscenely high today (109 in one area-but is the thermometer flawed?) i right now have movement in many of the eggs, b ut if necessary developmental enzymes/proteins were harmed it may take them a while to die.

OH and I couldn't wait any longer (5 days) I had to try my pickled eggs! I have never eaten picked eggs before so I was kind of scared at first haha, but they are SO GOOD! How have I gone this long without trying these? I also love that they picked up a little bit of a pink hue from the onion :)

This literally made my mouth water.

I agree..don't give up on them! I had mine hit 102 one day..they are just fine.

Thank you whoever said to use the phone flashlight app! It worked amazing!
But sadly it looks like my rooster isn't doing his job because all 9 chicken eggs look clear, I'm gonna give them another week but I have no hope for them.
My 6 duck eggs look amazing though!

This is only a few because my phone doesn't cooperate when I try more :)

Mystery chick hatched from egg not from my flock.

Any guesses? The guy said they were from rir and some speckled chickens.

They look Like my EE/OE did when they were babies...

This is them as adults, the roo is 1, and crossed with a Rhode island red, a buff orpington, or a gold sex link... The hen isn't his mother because his legs aren't green, and he didn't come from one of her green eggs...he started turning white around week 2 or 3...for awhile he was white with black specks...she is 3...
