I like the turkey hens and I really really liked my first turkey tom. his replacement though is much louder and I think I like my roosters more than him right now. My roosters get underfoot too. Our small flock of roosters were out free ranging and followed my DH to the front of the house. He insisted they were just there and not following him but as soon as he turned to head for the back yard so did all but one of the young roosters. The free rangers followed me a bit last summer but ignored DH all the time. I guess this year its his turn to have a flock at least for a few months anyway.

For now its the only kind of turkey i have and I have just 4 of the adults. But I do have a few that I recently hatched to grow out forof all things, Thanksgiving. And I'll be getting a few more from Porters once they get to my name on the list.Quote:Congrats on the turkey eggs.
What kind of turkeys do you have? I have blue palms and their eggs are a bit more pointed on the small end but about the same color as your turkey's egg.Did you say Blue Palms?![]()
