Oh! I have 4 Americana and only 1 has the puffy cheeks ;-) the rest do not and they looked exactly like the lil striped guys you have
My roo in the pic (he's a mix, not a true Ameracauna-I believe silkie since his legs are lightly feathered and he came from a light pale brown egg) he was an ordinary yellow chick, just had puffier cheeks..lol

I have a question about my turkey poults. My adults are all slate blue palms. Seeing as blue does not breed true in poultry, is there a way for me to tell which poults will be the slate blue palm, self blue (Lavender) palm and royal palm. Color options are taken from the Porters turkey website.

That's my girl Belle! She turned 15 in February but in her day she beat some world team dogs! Disclaimer: on our style of course only, which was full one pedal to the metal don't look back. Those were fun days! Now we hang in the back yard and walk in the pasture, maybe some short tug games. Her sister, Blue, made it to 17 so I'm hoping we have some good years left! Best performance dog I will EVER have!

There's someone else on here who does agility, in TX I think. Has her dog over a jump as an avatar.

That's me! That's my boy, Quick. He's mostly retired. Just does a little NADAC now where he can jump 8". I just got caught up on this thread because I was at a trial today.

Hope your girl gives you many more years.

I have a rebellious egg when I turn it, it is rocking its way back the other direction. My question is it is day 16.5, it's early got it to be rocking from what I have read. Should I still turn that particular egg, or just turn the others?

My EE has huge muffs and beard, but it seems like those feathers are almost always molting or growing in so I don't get to see it often. All her chicks always hatch with huge muffs and beard too.

I would turn it till day 18 at least. It might be stubborn but you will be doing it a service by doing so till then. It also exercises the chick inside. Might sound a little funny but he has to use those muscles to turn its self around while zipping.

Ok. 50 set. 49 at day 7. And despite this morning's temp spike of 104 I still have...
...drumroll please...

:celebrate 48! :celebrate

Ok, truthfully, there are 2-3 that I just can't tell. So I gave them question marks and I'll check them extra well at lockdown. One of them is almost certainly a quitter, but I kept imagining movement. The only one I pulled was a poor little peanut that likely quit around the time of the last candling.

All I can see is this little chick in there swearing at you guys cause you want to turn him....lol
Medic, it doesn't happen to be a bantam does it?

Just did my last candling! I am still going strong at 7/7. Though the quantity is not as impressive as others, I am still happy about the rate so far! And I can't believe how fast this hatch has gone by!
