vibration can be bad for eggs in the incubator but mostly during the first week and if they were shipped. Hens can be quite rough with eggs so local eggs will do better with the vibrations.Does construction noise affect hatching eggs? The house behind our home was demolished on Friday and today they started digging the ground. The equipment is heavy and noisy and so are the dumpster trucks that are picking up the debris. Because of the noise none of my hens laid today and are huddling in the coop. I am worried it will have a detrimental effect on the eggs as well. Has anyone read anything about it?
P.S. When they dig, even my floor shakes so its pretty heaving and noisy equipment.
Moved the first 77 to the hatcher. I set the remaining 35 the next day after these. Do tomorrow they'll go into the hatcher.

It is amazing how strong their little legs and wings can be when they don't want you to look at the eggs.
