Even with the loud buzzing, I can still hear crowing in the background!

Cool Video!!

I noticed that too...loved it. Hoping I get me a nice little rooster this yr. Big rooster? Just as long as he is a nice rooster. :p

I have a similar one that I have used successfully several times. I'll try to remember to get a picture when I lock down. I used twisty ties to hold mine together in case I ever want to reconfigure (and never have). I use the wire out of the bottom to cover it because those little boogers use each other to climb over the top.
I was wondering about this..also, if there would be a danger of them hitting the heating element? ?? Sounds like a great idea to take out the wire. Not so high and close up to the heating elements.

My chicks that broody hens hatch never get starter, they do free range as soon as the mother hen starts taking them out though.
I like this. I only give my babies the med. for a few days, then off to the reg. starter if they don't have a mama...other than me.

Ha..they are so dang cute. They have quite the appetite! Little piggies is right! Check out those crops!
I was just talking to my friend about that one you were questioning..he reminded me that the body was blue, and it looks like yours has a blue body? I can vision how it will turn out. It looks so much like the one I had.

I'm so bummed! All seven of my eggs were doing so great! But... The power went out three hours ago. When I got home from work, the eggs were feeling sort of cold. I filled some ziplock bags with warm water, and set them on top. Hopefully the eggs will make it!
