I have a baby.     A Marans mix.  It looks blue, but still wet..sometimes that black fakes me out with these old eyes.  I now have an OE starting to zip.  Oh dear..my night is going to be sleepless.  I can tell one of the others is more pipped, so, it may start to zip soon.  I will be hearing new chick screams throughout the night.  Sooo happy to see that one of the BBS silkie eggs pipped..a tiny pip.

I think 2 of my eggs set to hatch on Easter have died. :-( However, I set 2 out 3 days later and they're rocking! Is it normal for eggs to be rocking this early?? It's day 15...

Wow, that is early. I reckon about anything is possible with chicken hatching. So many people have so many opinions and it's based on their experiences. Happy hatching and Happy Easter.

I have my first pip! It was from an egg that I'd seen wiggling since yesterday. It pipped in the middle of the shell... a lot lower than where the air cell is... I hope it comes out okay 

The air sac is probably down that far by now. It's amazing how fast the air sac expands during last few days before hatch. I hope it is okay.

Woke up to 2 pips yay! Hope everyone else is waking up to something eggciting!

I've got an external pip now, Day 19. LOTS of cheeping. I'm resisting the urge to go out and candle under the broody. Maybe tonight.

Headed for bed about 2am stopped to check temp/humid and had a pip. Yes !! Headed in to go potty and stopped to look and wham, that quick the one next to it had pipped. It has begun. No progress this morning tho except chirping, i hear chirping.

I woke up to find two new chicks had hatched and one just zipped and popped out. Five altogether so far. I have four pips and 6 eggs I'm still watching for activity. I had 15 that went into lockdown. I'll get more pictures later this morning.

My incubator isn't nearly as neat and organized as some that I've seen on this thread. I commend you. My chicks are slobs.

HALLELUJAH!!! I have a PIP!!!!

I don't know why, but I have been more worried about it this year. Possibly because I saw a pip on Thursday night last year, and also because we have several people scheduled to come over this afternoon to watch the chicks hatch! And I was starting to worry that there WOULD be chicks for them to watch!

PHEW!!! What a relief when I saw that perfect little triangle of shell popped up this morning!

Let the Hatch Begin!!!!

Finally started to hear some chirps yesterday! We we're getiing nervous, so many others reporting early hatches and pipping. Last night we started seeing some cracks and woke up this morning with two easter eggers

. My son stormed into our bedroom this morning yelling. "Chicks are out, chicks are out!" I love seeing their excitement, cant wait for my daughte to wake up!

18 more to go and more eggs are pipped, looking forward to see some blue orp banthams!

I still have nothing going on over here, 61eggs and nothing yet, not a sound.
