Cracked this FRESH egg to find all these white spots. The same hens eggs didnt develop in this HAL, and she laid this last week:

In febuary i came to the coop and saw her head blown up like a balloon, which im not sure if its from being pecked in her ear as a chick or not. (She has a lump by her ear now and is deaf)

I feel like theres something wrong but im not sure what...has anyone had these white spots in yolks before?!

Is this too crowded for this chick? Or leave it be. It's making me nervous running into all the eggs!

Four out so far, another couple at least pipped. My Jaer egg had another shell fragment over the pip tho', not sure how long. Got the shells out but not sure how long it'd been there. Fingers crossed. So far have a bantie/EE cross, an Australorp, an Iowa Blue, and a Barred Rock X. Have another second shift so we'll see what's out, or not, when I get home at midnight!

First chick hatched last night. Five eggs remain, four of which have internally pipped. The fifth still appears healthy, but isn't as far along developmentally.

Did someone here buy a dickie hatcher? If so how do you like it?
The one thing I don't like about the dickie bator is I wish the hatch part was taller when you put the lid wire on the hatcher part.
I have hatched with it off but the chicks get in the small spaces on the sides and in the very back. make one heck of a mess plus can get in the moving parts of the turner.
My arms aren'''''t long enough to get to the back of the bator to clean real good..
my chicks are hatch like popcorn now. will probably take some out later today to see how many is in there. Hard to count thought the screen .
Happy hatch to all

Are you talking about the hatching tray cover? I just bought my Dickie hatcher and will use it for the first time, next week. I have the same concern about the trays not being tall enough for large chicks. I may put something in the corners of the trays, to lift the covers a bit.
The tray with the cover on is 2 1/4 inch high. There is about 3/4 inch space above each tray. If there is something in the tray to hold the cover up, the edges of the cover still enclose it completely, so chicks could not escape.
I found an old post where @cashdl is discussing this same issue. Her chicks are fine in it, but she was saying that someone might ask Mr. Dickie to make the trays taller for larger chicks. He's a very nice man and will discuss any concerns with you, if you call or email him.

Everything will be fine. Just remember how they hatch in nature--squeezed under a mother hen's body. Being crowded is actually closer to a natural situation for the wee one.

 I have no idea but that's odd! What breed is she?

Thank you so much!! I know you aren't suppose to open the incubator, but my humidity is up to 89%. Is that ok or do I need to try and fix that?
