I lost yet another chick a few minutes ago. It was gasping and i could tell it was alot smaller than its siblings. Thats my third chick ive lost.

No... So sorry. I have lost a couple too. I actually had to feed one of mine for about 5 days..it's doing great thank goodness..the only white Silkie I got. It's smaller than the others, but it is eating and running around like it was fine from the start.

I hope you don't lose another!

Thanks im just worried now that my flock may have something or he babies have something and i may loose everyone fingets crossed. I fed them crushed red pepper flakes and garlic

I feel terrible. The brooder door slammed down hitting one of my tsc chicks and breaking its back. I think it broke another's toe. Omg im so done with today :'(

They are hatching!! Yeah!! The eggs I put in the incubator March 29th are hatching early! I set 34 eggs for a second go round after losing so many during the HAL. 26 of the eggs made it to lock-down. I woke this morning to 3 hatched 1 stuck mid zip and 1 having died during zip. I took it out and the membrane had dried and the little chick couldn't get free. The stuck chick's membrane had dried also but I had gotten to it just in time. Since then another chick has hatched and 5 more are pipped. Yeah! Hatching is so much fun!

On another exciting note, my youngest DS lost his first tooth a couple days ago and has another about to fall out any minute, especially if he keeps wiggling it so much. hehehe

Yay! We must be on the same wavelength. I set 24 eggs on the first of April because I lost all mine in the Easter hatch. I hope I get some babies! Hmm, is your humidity too low, maybe?

Oh dear! At least a broken toe will heal. I'm so sorry. Question..are things seemingly running in threes? Like bad things? Maybe it's over now?
