I don't know. They were a barnyard mix from the guy down the road. It was all I could get locally for my broody. The little one is a bantam of some sort, from a white egg. Thats all I know about that one. The big ones might have a black minorca dad and 2 came from blue eggs.

Thanks so much for what you do! This is my first year and I'm already having so much fun. [IMG]

All three are such good choices. I've never seen a naked-neck Brahma before though. [IMG]

Welcome! So glad you could join us!

It's the deciding what to hatch that is half the fun! [IMG]

    Welcome to you too! [IMG]

I'm glad your feeling better. Skimming through it makes it go much faster [IMG] (some how my brother can read a book that takes me three days in a few hours).

    Welcome!

Its my first year also, but I feel like I've been on for years. This is a great site! [IMG]

    So cute!

Bantams feather out even faster. I can't believe it when I have a two week old bantam that is fully feathered and crowing!

You can't help but love rabbits. [IMG]

So glad you could join us! [IMG]

Awesome breeds! I want to get some Spitzhaubens one of these days.

I can't wait till I can set my eggs too!

Best of luck with your hatching! [IMG]

[IMG] I'm the same way when my chicks are hatching.

Muscovys are really cool, I can't wait to see yours when they hatch. [IMG]

    @Cynthia12

Most of the vitamins for poultry will have D in them. You can also supplement with calf manna to help with egg shell quality. I have used both of those.

A quick search on Amazon showed a mana pro product that is a supplement just for poultry that is used like calf mana--just tossed out, mixed with feed or added to scratch.

During times of stress, like heat, cold, lots of bad weather, it is a good idea to give them something once a week.

Whoa. I don't know who took this picture, but it is STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL! I wish my camera worked well enough to take pictures like that. [IMG]
Sigh. I hope they are undamaged. [IMG]

    Welcome! [IMG]

    Awesome pictures!

Sorry to hear that. I lost the eggs I bought over Ebay also (they were orloffs). However, I shipped some eggs for the first time and I heard most of them hatched, which I was so glad about. I bet my rooster, Dominator is feeling really proud of himself right now. [IMG]

Parents are the best. My parents have trouble with me keeping so many chickens, but if my birds are ever in trouble they are right there to help.
