Well, Happy Birthday! I think it's a must that you hatch yourself something! PM me please. My welsummer pullets hatched last Easter aren't laying either...........well, ONE is. The other 8 decided to molt at 8 months old. They didn't get the memo that they were supposed to keep me in eggs! I freaking had to buy eggs at the store today! (I bought pastured, if I have to eat eggs from the store, they will be the best eggs I can find) Here's a couple of the molting freeloaders.

Nice to know I'm not the only one with freeloading pullets. Here are my 2. Getting on for 9 months now.

I'll be joining if my birds ever come into lay. Still have a month so not too worried. Didn't come into lay prior to solstice so awaiting longer days. Figure they'll start end of this month or start of Feb so just need eggs of size by 3rd week of February to collect enough for first hatch of year. May have to stagger first hatch this year.

Ah okay thanks! Me and the chickens are good! I hope you are doing okay! I hatched three quail from 10 eggs, but half were infertile. How are your quail? I hope to be around more now, but nuch happens in the winter.

I'm so happy. Had to post this somewhere. Just got of a chat with a breeder I'd been trying to contact for months for possible cock and they are letting me take hatching eggs this spring instead! That just doesn't happen with this breeder. Hopefully they don't awake tomorrow and not remember the chat...
