Here are chicks I just took out of the incubator. There are 14 here and I have pips in the bator, but it was very crowded in there, so I got these guys out. They are isabel leghorns and isbar. There is one brown leghorn in there too.

Very adorable, I love freshly hatched chicks. They are so delicate and yet so determined.

Here are pictures from the NYD hatch batch. They are growing up!

The blue isbar pullet is already getting pretty lacing and the SFH's flowers are starting to bloom!

SFH's and isabel leghorn cockerel.

Beautiful colors!

Bearded Silkies :) I'd love to have a few more paints and lavenders. And maybe some more splash and buff. A few more porcelain would be fun too... I'm suddenly so glad my husband doesn't have a BYC account. My cards would all get confiscated after reading that wish list

My wish list is too long to write.

awesome!! Ok...so there are solids. Basically like Appaloosas. (I have an Appaloosasa...lol)

I have two questions:

1) How do you like the waterer in the pic with Ruby. I'm thinking of getting one...just a different size.

2) What type is your big rooster? I have a rooster almost the same. Mine's supposed to be barred rock/speckled Sussex. But I'm not so sure he is..lol. He's the guy in my avatar looking upset cause I woke him up to take a selfie..

(He's a super sweety too)

The waterer works AWESOME. I actually have two right now and when one freezes I bring it in and melt the ice out while the other has warm water for the chicks. It doesn't spill very easily, though the surface has to be pretty even that it is on, and if there are wood chips in the pen then they fill the waterer up fast. Otherwise, they are great for broody hens, sick chickens, and chicks alike.

As for the rooster, he is a pure Barred Rock, but I know his sons can look a lot like him, even though they are crosses.

They'll all be backyard mixes. I'm just excited to be able to hatch my own chicks this year. Lol

I love backyard mixes. It's like a surprise gift all wrapped up in an egg shell.

Totally, I hatched some mixes a bit ago. Total suprise! One had feathered feet (no idea where that one came from!) One had a beard, and one looked like a RIR. Only 1 roo in the flock at the time..

Y'know, *she said thoughtfully* since the times for the random posts were already chosen, 'twould be quite funny if all three signs ended up going to people who don't really care. Or all to the same person. Or all three to the same person who doesn't care...
